Saw a Chicago story refer to "French-fried pizza" when it was supposed to be "French bread pizza." Mistakes happen, whatever. The lede is: I'm old and the other writer (or editor) is young — they've (likely) never been subjected to the Stouffer's Latch-Key Kid lifestyle.

In case you missed it, Florida lawmakers who voted for DeSantis’ anti-immigrant law acknowledged at a registration only event that it’s causing a worker shortage in the state while begging immigrants to stay in the state and keep working. They said the bill was “political.”

My favorite news out of DeSantis world this week was dipshit extraordinaire @mattgaetz of all people reminding him to be "likable" during his debate prep and writing it on a pad. Yes, this man is so terrible he actually needs to be reminded of that... by Matt Gaetz, no less.

The way people love DeSantis in Florida has always blown my mind. Remove the terrible policies and leadership for a second; the guy sucks. He has the personality of wet cardboard (on a good day) and, of course, that's going to play out now that he's getting nationally tested.
