Bush destroyed Clinton's economy. Obama fixed Bush's mess. Trump destroyed Obama's economy. Biden fixed Trump’s mess and now Trump has destroyed what Biden fixed. The biggest lie that Republicans have gotten away with is that they are better for the economy.

@alluringmedia @patternote WHAT? He caused 20-30% inflation on necessary goods and lied to us about transitory inflation. Then because of his mess, interest rates doubled costing people who have credit card debt increased monthly payments.

Less populate doesn't equal poor. Median income in my area is 60k. Fast food pays $12-15, most starter jobs offer $20+. Many people are independent contractors in various tasks from mechanic, hvac, electrician, grass cutters, painters, plumbers, babysitters, cleaning, etc. Often making really good money. You just have to allow people to make a living without interference or taking a huge chunk off

I know first hand some of the ways in which blue states fleece you in every day life in a way purple and blue states don't. And it shows up as real economic capacity. I come from a blue city and moved to a purple town. Where i come from, the city spends 15k per person, my locality spends less than half that. I see most of these savings in my budget in the form of lower cost in housing and getting around, plus thousands a year less in state and local taxes. Daycare 40% lower than blue states. There is just so much

When people bust their ass and pay 1/3 in taxes, only to watch other's freeload off their money, it naturally invites resentment and a desire to rebalance things. Most people are okay with reasonable help for those who truly need it, but you have to admit it has become out of control. We now spend $15k in social programs for every man woman and child in America (4.5 trillion plus it's portion of the interest on the debt, for a total of 5.2 trillion. Total budget is 7 trillion). I pay 20k+ a year in taxes. So yea it's directly impacting my life, and the people on the short end of this are not the slightest bit happy about the situation.

Life has not been kind. I started doing better leaving NYC for more affordable grounds, and managed basic stability despite everything. I'm in debt because i don't always have enough, and i do very much live within my means. Same car for 7 years, cook all meals at home, i don't spend money going out, etc. The high taxes is the cause of the high cost of living. Cost of living doesn't get lower by govt paying for it, it gets lower by reducing base cost. I can only afford health insurance for my son, not for myself. But I'm subsidizing everyone else's. High federal and fica taxes is what's standing in between me and medical coverage. And worst case I'll work for McDonald's, 2 jobs, so snap will never be on the table for me. That's the difference between solving your own problems and expecting others to work harder so you don't have to

@TheRavenScalar @bellastrega999 @colleenaschwab That crackhead in a Benz probably also gets 3 child support checks (different men, because that's how you get the most). Maximized by the fact that she collects SNAP. You don't even need to be a crackhead to do that, the social workers love that scenario and actively encourage it

When i needed it i was told that $1000 a month is too much for a single person to qualify (2010). If i needed it now i would first have to lose everything I've ever worked to build. I work hard and plan ahead to make sure i never need a handout. I would benefit more from a non raided paycheck that actually allows me an emergency fund. Snap is the one thing i don't have a big issue with, it's not crazy expensive, but it's definitely not a group benefit.

Taxpayers are exploited by socialism. Often living poorer than the people they are subsidizing. Libertarians don't want low wages, almost no one gets paid federal minimum wage. It's just that min wage increases doesn't actually solve affordability, it just makes the staples more expensive. That's how we went from $15 min wage to now we need $25 min wage. And when we reach that, it will no longer be enough either

I criticize Libertarians because they are socialists arch nemesis, as they want the de regulations, low wages, anti unions, removal of labor laws, that socialists have died fighting for. They support the capitalist system while socialists fight for the people being exploited by it
