@ZedOeLA @RameMariqi @micodju 1244 doesnt allow Kosovo to have an army or its own independent government. Yet Kosovo still has them. The only thing UN enforces is the KFOR presence. How is that not convenience? Lol

@ZedOeLA @RameMariqi @micodju There is in fact convenience. Because KFOR presence is quite literally the only thing standing from 1244 and nothing else. Had it been different. Kosovo could have never legally declared independence or form its own army.

Its rather an evolving matter, far beyond whats dictated in 1244. Therefore, the none of the two options offered are valid 😉

@ZedOeLA @RameMariqi @micodju UN does not have obligations toward resolution 1244 anymore. Every other decision, including peacekeeping forces, are simply a matter of convenience for the UN.

@ZedOeLA @RameMariqi @micodju This isnt a matter of 1244 anymore. If it were, Kosovo would not have an independent government or an army. The obligation specifically concerns "peacekeeping troops".

@ZedOeLA @RameMariqi @micodju Of that resolution because its convenient for the international peace, without having an obligation to Serbia. In the other hand though, Kosovo had to oblige with the UN, specifically in regards to accepting KFOR.
