Every time @Apple releases a new version of their apps, they make their music player and related peripherals harder to use and far less intuitive. One UI misstep & it took me 10 minutes & several reboots to figure out how to get my watch to show now playing on my phone again.

@jedvigilante @AppleSupport Apple really screwed the pooch with this one. I was able to get battery life back this way at the expense of reconfiguring everything.

@Jaeleone Welcome to the train wreck that is #Apple latest release. I WAS able to “fix” mine by unpairing, set up as new device and rebooting, repeating until it worked. Took 3 tries. I’m quite certain there is something in the old profile leaving residue that causes it to freak out.

@Pie__K @Bitashii You might be able to fix it this way. It’s not anywhere near ideal but I got my watch working properly again with expected battery life, at the expense of having to reconfigure everything.

@jtahoyle If you put it in the charger will it start up again? It’s very likely NOT entirely the watch. My 6 month old series 8 would last 20 hours. I had to unpair and set it up as new.

I suspect watchOS 10 has finally retired my Apple Watch Series 4. Ran out of juice at 5:30pm over the weekend, 8:20pm during a workout tonight. Held charge perfectly well two weeks ago + still good (75%+) battery health.

Happy-ish days again. I might have well just shorted the battery on my Apple Watch since #watchOS10 for the good it would do. #Apple latest abomination drained it flat in 10 hours. After my multi attempt “fix”, it’s down now to a respectable 50% since 10PM last evening.
