Pi released a deep-dive case study into the recent proof-of-concept project for a new Pi Node utility that supports decentralized AI training and computing tasks for third-parties using the spare computing capacity of over 421,000 Pi Nodes. In collaboration with OpenMind, a robotics startup invested in by Pi Network Ventures, this project showed that Pi Nodes can process AI-relevant workloads and return useful results quickly. A Mainnet migration roadmap based on the network’s priorities is now available. minepi.com/blog/mainnet-m… The roadmap outlines how first migrations, second migrations with referral bonuses, and ongoing migrations on a regular basis will be prioritized in that order. The blog also further explains Pi’s tokenomics and supply structure, including how each allocation is proportionally tied to Pioneers’ Migrated Mining Rewards, ensuring fairness, aligned incentives, and transparency across the network.

The allocation structure of the Pi Supply model ensures the impartial role of any processes that affect the migration speed because all other allocation buckets track the pace of Migrated Mining Rewards. It was intentionally designed to align the interests of all parties in the network to get as many Pioneers and as many Pi onto the Mainnet as possible. Pi Network is adding email-based two-factor authentication to the overall account management and verification. minepi.com/blog/update-on… This change addresses challenges with current SMS (text message) account verification, improves security, and lays the groundwork for future verification methods like passkeys and biometrics. To ensure a secure shift, system level analytics and checks were required to validate how Pioneers verify their accounts using the new method, which led to a temporary pause in migrations.
