Have you removed the Chartable URL Prefix from your RSS feed yet? You have until mid-December before Chartable shuts down and your feed will break. I've contacted all my clients who use Chartable and am taking care of it. Are you in touch with your team about this?

@natolambert Yea you gotta keep email for sure, but don't need to host the pod there. Their pod analytics are useless, and with Chartable shutting down there aren't many alternative. I'd also like to put YT embed up top, but right now the Substack player takes up a lot of space. We'll see

AI music as podcast intro: Not good ❌ We got individual "I love it" notes from folks, but the data says most people skip them. Going back to the old intro, and putting the song at the end as a bonus. Retention trend for AI vs non-AI intro for the curious:

Trump goes on a slew of male-friendly podcasts, many of them filled with open sexism or worse. NYT: He’s courting the “Broverse.” It’s brilliant. Harris does 60 Minutes, The View, Colbert and a female-centered podcast. NYT: She’s hiding out in “friendly” territory.

It doesn't. It focuses more on smart link features and attribution, which is better than Chartable's smart links. You also have more control over customizations to the landing pages. For rankings, I use platforms like Rephonic, Charitable (unless that will be sunset), Podtrac, Edison, and Triton.

Chartable is being sunset in December. If you're using it, a great alternative is @GetLinkfire. It’s trusted by many podcasters and musicians like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Katy Perry. It offers unique features specifically for podcasting.
