@kiloasi @imoffitl @Bradz25731329 @hottie_bc @ayaatanjalii_ 18 is a legal adult in most of the world , so yes it does

@4rmsOfAStranger @SmoothieKing You loud and wrong! In Ann Arbor the city this took place in, is one of the few cities in America to count political affiliation as a protected class ! She was in the wrong

English

@Born_Atheist1 @JCinKeyWest @LeftismForU @usa_hipster @SmoothieKing No they can’t since this happened in Ann Arbor which is illegal

English

@JCinKeyWest @LeftismForU @usa_hipster @SmoothieKing youre a fucking idiot.
they absolutely can refuse service for political attire.
its not protected
English

A woman and her husband were refused service at the @SmoothieKing on Jackson Ave in Ann Arbor, Michigan because employees claimed that they felt uncomfortable with her husband's Trump hoodie.
I expect @SmoothieKing to take proper action and hope to hear from them soon.
English

@ChipMeaty @JCinKeyWest @LeftismForU @usa_hipster @SmoothieKing Actually it is you that’s wrong , In Ann Arbor where this took place political affiliation discrimination is illegal , it’s one of the few cities to uphold that .

English

@JCinKeyWest @LeftismForU @usa_hipster @SmoothieKing You are wrong, political beliefs are not a protected class.
English

@JCinKeyWest @LeftismForU @usa_hipster @SmoothieKing Political view is not one of the protected categories.
English

@NerdyMom47 It’s always discrimination when you guys say it’s discrimination, but they have a right to refuse service to anyone.
English

@libsoftiktok @SmoothieKing It’s not discriminatory. They have the right to refuse service.
English

Woman claims Smoothie King in Michigan wouldn’t serve them because her husband was wearing a Trump hoodie
Any comment @SmoothieKing??

@ghostprongs @splendidselfish @crazytoqether & u don’t know if he has apologized to them bts so calling for EXCLUSION/and full isolation since tics happen throughout the whole day, is also ableist and HARMFUL to say to a group of people,ur doing the same thing your standing up against,so ur the one who needs to apologize 😭
English

@poly_pale @splendidselfish @crazytoqether the fact there was no immediate apology & still isn’t one, allows me to have this stance. never once did i call the man racist, but if you know you say racial & HARMFUL slurs & can’t control it, then stay away from the people who will be harmed by it if u won’t even apologize
English

@ghostprongs @splendidselfish @crazytoqether LIKE I SAID saying the disabled should be excluded and segregated bc of hurt feelings is ABLEIST, Period! He was nominated and had the right to attend! Disabled people aren’t required to disappear for your comfort ,if they were it wouldn’t be illegal , and discrimination
English

@akatanightmare @splendidselfish @crazytoqether Considering he spent time making a film about the same disability we are currently speaking of and was nominated and they knew he had it and still invited him, yes he did , your just being ableist atp
English

@Bea_Elle @gbennylola They can, but that doesn’t mean every person has too, also you shouldn’t be relying on someone to tell you they’re sorry , if they don’t want to apologize move on .
English

@poly_pale @gbennylola People apologize all the time for things they don’t control when someone else is affected. It is common decency. I cannot believe anyone would arguing against it.
English

@nishapagne @prxxna It’ll be as simple as saying “ I understand this hurt you but that wasn’t my intention, or “ That was a tic, but I understand hearing that could be painful.” None of those are an apology .
English

@Kaiserroll64093 @Joker_Joker_etc @TweedleDeedIe @simoneumba Except this isn’t about me this is about someone who suffers from a disability they cannot control, and what’s pathetic is thinking someone has to apologize for saying something they had no control over , we’re done here .
English

@poly_pale @Joker_Joker_etc @TweedleDeedIe @simoneumba I can tell that you’re not respected by anyone in your life and will continue to live a life of misery. You’ve been going at this all day so I can’t imagine you have anything meaningful to do or anything to hope for and that’s pathetic enough
English

@Kaiserroll64093 @Joker_Joker_etc @TweedleDeedIe @simoneumba he can acknowledge he offended someone without apologizing for it, and once again saying slurs is literally what the disability is, they aren’t 2 separate things no matter how you try to frame it
English

@poly_pale @Joker_Joker_etc @TweedleDeedIe @simoneumba If he apologizes for saying a slur, that’s what he’ll be apologizing for??? There doesn’t need to be a deeper reasoning or meaning other than acknowledging that you’ve offended someone. You’re not smart and considering the fact that this is the hill you are willing to die on…
English

@smoke_nd_pearlz This was his choice , another disabled person can acknowledge ,harm without an apology .
English

@ABrownGirl88 @prxxna Stepping on someone’s foot is still your controlled movement, even if accidental, and can be avoided by looking where you are going , A neurological tic isn’t a misstep — it’s an involuntary symptom. Those aren’t comparable.
English

@prxxna When you step on a toe by accident, launch a little spittle when talking, you say sorry! It’s literally human nature, but seemingly reserved to ppl they deem worthy of that human nature. Imo all this is just a bid to not cede any compassion to the hurt Black ppl are expressing🤷🏾♀️
English

@yappertappa @prxxna Stepping on someone’s foot is still your controlled movement, even if accidental , and most likely you weren’t looking where you were going . A neurological tic isn’t a misstep — it’s an involuntary symptom. Those aren’t the same kind of “accident.”
English

@prxxna Like, if I accidentally step on someone's foot when walking, I'll apologize for it. Even if we were in a crowed area, someone else bumped into me and our feet were in a wrong time wrong place moment. I still apologize for stepping on their foot
English

@nishapagne @prxxna You can acknowledge impact without apologizing for it .
