@tradeincoming I’m not seeing this core with a lot of additional upside. They’re vets now. Played a lot of games. With an occasional flash of brilliance, the core is not all that good. It’s certainly not bringing any Stanley Cups home with or without some support from the bottom 6.

Seeing a lot of “The Red Wings core isn’t a problem and shouldn’t be traded away.” The Red Wings’ core at this moment is the equivalent of a Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant core in March of 2011.

@Colton_Hill Hope springs eternal. But if you have been watching, Steve doesn’t make big moves. I expect more of the same for several more seasons while we await these great kids everyone has promised for years and years.

The Larkin talks of trading him away seems awfully similar to the Steve Yzerman for Alexei Yashin back in the day of 1995/1996. Makes no sense at all. Yzerman did not win his first Stanley Cup till he was 32 years. #LGRW

I am hugely disappointed in the Wings' second-half splat. It's painful as hell in the pit of my acid reflux. But the Wings will not be "blown up." Todd McLellan will not be fired. And Steve Yzerman will be in the management team for as long as he wants. I believe in a "revamp."

The handwriting was on the wall way before this slide. Gibson single-handedly won the Wings a bunch of games they did not look good in. You just knew that could not continue. It didn’t and the slide was the result.

Predictable ending after Wings squandered chance after chance. They have so few gamers on this team.

Missing the net in shootout is not forgivable

Great pressure by Wings in OT, but the Wings can’t score. The only thing more predictable than Wings giving up a goal in the waning seconds is Wings failing to score on a couple of breakaways.

You could just feel that coming.

@RyanHanaWWP You’d think if your team had a problem scoring goals in the first period, you would at least make a strong defensive stand in period one. It’s mystifying they can’t figure this out.

ASP turns the puck over behind the net and the Red Wings can't scramble to recover in time, Columbus goes up 1-0 early. Bad start! #LGRW
