@IndianGems_ @theliverdoc Don’t take these rankings seriously. I have personally been to Kochi and Kanpur. Kanpur is a garbage dump. Kochi and most southern cities are way more cleaner than Indore which is at number 1

Renault Duster 1.3 Turbo - First Quick Impressions After driving it for ~80 km across hills, plains and highways Positives ✅ Looks near perfect. A great mix of present, timeless and futuristic design. The cladding around number plate looks slightly odd but still – 9/10 ✅ Ride & handling is exactly what the brand promised – 10/10. Sharp cornering control and comfort over bad roads felt very mature, almost like a luxury car. Still fresh in my mind. ✅ Engine & gearbox – The 1.3 Turbo (163 PS, 280 Nm) is a match made in heaven. Linear, powerful, butter-smooth transmission. Strong grunt, pulls beautifully, never feels out of breath on highways or inclines. Haven’t tested 0–100, but should be around ~11 sec, which is impressive for its shape. At ₹12.99 lakh (MT), this engine is a gem. ✅ Drive impressions – Glass area is decent, bonnet visibility is excellent. Creep function feels diesel-like. Auto hold is very useful. Digital cockpit and screen brightness are very good. AC goes down to LO below 19°C. Seats are large, supportive and comfortable. 360° camera clarity is average but usable. Integrated offline Google Maps are genuinely helpful. NVH levels are good and the cabin feels polished. Interiors should age well and complement the exterior design nicely. ✅ I deeply admire the presence of physical buttons across the cabin. I got used to everything within minutes, even on my first drive. One touch up down all windows and that too anti-pinch, excellent thought process. Cabin is user friendly. While driving, I genuinely felt this is a car I’d be proud to have in my garage. ✅ Build, paint and overall cabin quality – 8.5/10 Areas of Improvement ⚠️ Slight noise from doors while opening/closing in my car. 360° camera had minor glitches a couple of times. ⚠️ Apart from ride quality being a clear 10/10, the overall package (build, quality, practicality, performance) sits around 8.5/10. Sales teams should pitch it as a complete package, not just highlight one strength. ⚠️ Second-row space, thigh support and headroom are above average but not class-leading. Some competitors still offer better practicality. ⚠️ Surprising miss – no spare wheel provided. This decision should be reconsidered. ⚠️ If buying the 1.3 Turbo, strongly consider upgrading to premium tyres (Michelin / Continental / Yokohama / Bridgestone / Vredestein). Stock tyres struggled with grip under load; slight wheelspin observed. Better tyres will unlock the car’s full potential. Final Thought Duster is an extremely important project for Renault, and the effort is clearly visible. This car genuinely deserves strong success. If you test drive it and understand the overall package, it becomes very hard to choose something else.

@volklub @RenaultIndia For a 280 Nm of torque delivered from 2500-5000rpm and 163 PS of HP isn't 11s a little too much? It should be lesser or there are other factors at play (weight, powertrain or wind resistance). Having a 1.3 Lt engine deliver 163 pm and 280 NM is a remarkable feat.

Iran in India
Iran in India@Iran_in_India·
Telephone Conversation between President Pezeshkian and the Prime Minister of India Dr. Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation on Saturday, 21 March 2026, with Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, during which they discussed and exchanged views on bilateral relations, as well as regional and international developments in light of the continued military aggressions by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran. Dr. President, outlining the dimensions of the aggression, unlawful attacks, and crimes committed by the U. S and the Zionist regime, emphasized that Iran did not initiate the war. He stated that the aggressor, without any justification, logic, or legal basis, launched military attacks against Iran during ongoing nuclear negotiations, resulting in the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, senior military commanders, and a number of defenseless civilians, including innocent schoolchildren, as well as targeting public infrastructure. President Pezeshkian further stated that the U.S targeted the school in Minab from bases located in neighboring countries hosting U.S. military installations, leading to the tragic martyrdom of 168 innocent schoolchildren. Rejecting the claims of the U.S. President that the military aggression was intended to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, President Pezeshkian stressed that, in multiple meetings attended by the Supreme Leader, the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution had firmly opposed nuclear weapons and had issued both administrative and religious directives prohibiting any move toward their development. He also dismissed U.S. allegations portraying Iran as a source of instability and tension in the region, asserting instead that it is Israel that carries out attacks and assassinations in Lebanon, Gaza, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, and elsewhere, justifying such actions under the pretext of maintaining security and peace, while in reality fueling unrest and conflict across the region. The President reiterated Iran’s consistent readiness to engage in both telephone and in-person dialogues with world leaders, including on the sidelines of the UN, for the purpose of verification and acceptance of oversight over its peaceful nuclear activities. He described the actions of the U.S and the Israel against Iran as profoundly inhumane and unethical, and strongly condemned them. President also proposed the establishment of a regional security framework composed of countries of West Asia, aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region through regional cooperation without foreign interference. He further underscored that a prerequisite for ending the war and conflict in the region is the immediate cessation of aggressions by the U.S. and Israel, along with guarantees against their recurrence in the future. Referring to India’s rotating presidency of BRICS, Pezeshkian called for the group to play an independent role in halting aggressions against Iran and in safeguarding regional and international peace and stability. For his part, Prime Minister Modi extended his greetings on the occasions of Eid al-Fitr and Nowruz to the President, the Government, and the people of Iran, and wished them a year filled with peace and tranquility. Expressing deep concern over the escalation of tensions and conflict in West Asia, the Prime Minister of India strongly condemned any attacks on energy infrastructure in the region, noting that such actions pose serious threats to global food and energy security and to agricultural exports worldwide. He also emphasized the importance of ensuring the continued security of the Strait of Hormuz and the freedom of navigation in the Persian Gulf. In this context, referring to his consultations and discussions with various world leaders, PM Modi emphasized that choosing the path of war is in no one’s interest; therefore, all parties should move toward peace as soon as possible.

A few days back, while doing some core exercises in a park, I realized my take on 10k steps was in bad taste Watching people around me made me realise that > For some, just stepping out of the house and moving is a win > Some have never trained/played any sport, so for them a few rounds of walking means something > Not everyone wants to train like an athlete or complete a half/full marathon I’ve realised that for many, some movement is better than nothing, even if the impact on overall health is relatively small
Keerthi Siddeshwar@keerthisiddeshw

The greatest marketing gimmick: 10,000 steps per day No logic or facts support that it provides any real health benefit 10k steps is good if it's the only thing you can do instead of living a sedentary life, but it isn't making you fit/athletic in any meaningful way

It is a tragedy that we now have to support Iran, an oppressive majoritarian, patriarchal state. Because opposing Iran is to collaborate with the most naked imperialist assault on the right of developing nations to their sovereignty.

Phenomenal. We don’t have any indoor athletics stadia. Humid temps of India really call for the need of many. Hopefully this will be a new era. Hats off to Odissa. They are sponsoring back to back hockey world cups and now this.

Woow.. just wow!!! 2028 WORLD INDOOR ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS IS AWARDED TO BHUBANESWAR!!! It was on the cards but the biggest oxymoronish thing is that we have 0, zero, zilch, anda athlete at the 2026 WORLD INDOORS! WHAT TO SAY @olympic_indian

I know many people miss the sound of Richie’s voice on commentary. He’s probably still widely regarded as the best tv cricket commentator. But, if Richie remains at #1, who would you put at #2? I’m genuinely interested to see who people pick. Radio commentators need not apply!
