Thinking of my friends and colleagues still steadfast in Gaza.

Rest in peace my friend. Tamer was one of the kindest people I had worked with. He was a nurse at the Burns Unit at Shifa hospital. He was killed along with his brother when his house was bombed by the Israelis

I was consoling 13 year old Halla as she woke up from the anaesthetic. I said "it will be right, the surgery is finished". She said it to me " it will never ever be alright. They killed my mum and dad."

Been writing the same story off and on for months. Under 2000w. Can't seem to finish it/figure out why it won't work. Trying not to take myself too seriously bc only a story but- ugh. What to do. Bin it, no regrets? Keep pushing on until..? How do you decide when to stop?
