My international trip with @AmericanAir has been an absolute nightmare.
The start of the issue started when my flight was delayed due to weather. No problem. When I landed for my connecting flight the woman at the terminal desk came on the plane and asked for me to come to her about my connection. When it was all said and done, she said “your flight change hasn’t reflected in our system yet, but after you’ve walked the 25 minutes to your connecting flight it will have changed.” It did not. British airways told me my connecting flight was VOIDED and British airways told me to call you. I couldn’t make it walking an hour between terminals. So I called, no one answered after 20 minutes that I had to watch my friend leave and the doors closed.
Then when I needed a hotel because the next flight out wasn’t until the following day. Your staff said on their end I needed PROOF?! Proof that the error wasn’t weather related while making my whole situation disregarded. I’m sorry you invalidated my one connecting flight but the following was there no problem?! Your customer service told me there was no sooner flight until the night when that wasn’t true too! It took seeing how upset I was that a supervisor had to get involved to get me a place to stay.
Now tell me why, after multiple reassurances that now my suitcase isn’t on this new flight?! There was AMPLE time. I tried calling so many baggage staff and AA/BA customer service and NO ONE could get anything done to get it where it needed to be!!!! I’m so exhausted. I’m going internationally with NO CLOTHES or any of my valuables.
Your staff has no empathy, they’ve lied multiple times when I have done everything right as a flyer! I emailed a complaint, explaining what happened. Your response just said “thanks for letting us know how we can do better” REALLY?! What an absolute joke.
I want compensation. I want actual reassurance. I want my stuff and my sanity 😭
