My heartfelt gratitude to our visionary Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji and Union Finance Minister Smt. @nsitharaman Ji for allocating Rs. 25,000 Cr. under a new SASCI component ‘Pride of Hills’ for 9 Himalayan States. The allocation of Rs. 4,900 Cr. for Arunachal Pradesh, will help us improve fiscal stability and invest further in creating revenue generating assets.

A historic decision by the Modi Government to build world-class industrial parks! The Government under PM @NarendraModi ji’s leadership has approved the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA) with an allocation of ₹33,660 crore to develop 100 investment-ready plug-and-play industrial parks across the country. BHAVYA is a Central Sector Scheme built on key pillars of: - Building next-generation industrial infrastructure - Boosting ease of doing business through reforms & plug-and-play ecosystems - Creating future-ready, sustainable & efficient industrial parks - Driving investment, employment & stronger industrial ecosystems Under the scheme, industrial parks ranging from 100 to 1000 acres (25 acre for Northeast and hilly regions) will be developed, with the Central Government providing financial support of up to ₹1 crore per acre. By enabling cluster-based development and co-location of industries, suppliers and support services, BHAVYA will strengthen supply chains, reduce costs and foster vibrant industrial ecosystems across regions. Happy to share one piece of excellent news on the eve of International Women's Day: our government- trained candidates from West Bengal have fared very well in the prestigious UPSC civil service examimations 2025, and,among them, our girls have secured about half of the coveted top berths as per the just-published results. Congratulations and best wishes to the successful candidates, their parents/ guardians and teachers, and best wishes to all aspirants for future attempts. We are happy that we could provide highly subsidised coaching support to the candidates from our Satyendra Nath Tagore Civil Services Study Centre. In our time, we set up this Institute and I am feeling proud. 11 candidates trained with our Centre have secured top places in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 Final Merit List. Nearly 50% of them are girls. Diksha Rai (40), Akash Kumar Rai (279), Vaishna Biswas (367), Goutam Thakuri (432), Debjyoti Halder (443), Debabrata Pramanik (467), S. Nived Kumar (486), Mohsina Bano (648), Juhi Das (649), Kirti Chowdhury (760), and Anniela Sherpa (893) received our state government coaching and have brought laurels to Bengal by securing impressive ranks, as mentioned in the brackets. They are likely to enter IAS, IPS and other premier services. There are also others from West Bengal who have succeeded in this all-India examination and are expected to enter the apex services. Our encouragement and constant care have inspired our youth, and this achievement will in turn encourage many more to aspire for All-India competitive examinations from West Bengal. Kudos to these bright boys and girls for their achievements. The Government of West Bengal is with you!
