The outage was caused by an excessive amount of moisture in the equipment that led to a flashover. The team will return to site to continue working on full restoration during dayshift tomorrow. #CityPowerUpdates #CityPowerOutages #InnerCitySDC Observatory Substation: The power supply has partially been restored, following an unplanned power interruption caused by a trip from the Sebenza line to the Observatory Substation early this morning. This outage has resulted in a total loss of supply to customers in Cyrildene, De Wetshof, Kensington, Judith’s Paarl, Observatory Ext, and its vicinity. Our operators are still hard at work addressing multiple cable faults at Kensington Ext.5, feeding portion of Bruma which will remain off until repairs are completed. The test team has been requested to assist locate the fault, The Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) is 23h00 this evening. We appreciate your patience while we work on resolving this outage. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. ^ZD
