@KenCarman You are correct. He earned the right and privilege to have his number retired. I wouldn’t unretire my number and let some kid wear it and runoff to the highest bidder. Maybe if there was a kid who plays at USC that has shown commitment and dedication to the team I’d consider it.

I have to admit, I take this back: Katzenmoyer wore 45 at a different time. Matt Leinart accomplished a great deal at USC. I can understand he is afraid someone who may only be there a year, and play for a couple other schools after would somehow cheapen it.
