The cold hard truth is nobody cares about my political takes. And because politics is negative, my takes are usually negative I want my posts to make people happy So in the future I might slip a political take in there from time to time, but I'm pretty much done.

A Downy Woodpecker and the Queen of the Boardwalk, a Northern Cardinal. I saw the Downy Woodpecker wedge his suet nugget in a tree, which was then taken by the Queen’s mate. The Downy chases off the Queen for another nugget; I then saw the Queen’s mate give her the stolen nugget

Caffeine has by far been the most difficult thing for me to quit. Really insidious drug and one of these days it will be more well known about the downsides of caffeine. For now, no one wants to hear it.

A lot of the problems in the world right now can be explained by this video. For one thing, it’s a big reason why the US government is so unaccountable to public opinion. These are *college students.* A significant amount of the country is totally checked out and comfortable enough not to think it matters.
