The 1st world used to be the 1st world because we passed the shopping cart test. We all thought and behaved like this: "What would I want someone else to do for me if the situation was reversed?" Now that we have been totally 3rd-world-ified, behaving the old way is going to kill us. If you put the shopping art back, and you live in a neighborhood where 99% of people don't, you're just cleaning up after people who don't care about you. We need to cut off empathy for people who never had any for us. That's the only way to win. It's the only way to survive at all.
