🚨🎙️ | Bruno Fernandes: "I had the option to join Tottenham [in the summer of 2019] and I was really happy to join them, but it didn't happen. “Then in January [2020], I got the call [from Manchester United] that I'd been HOPING for over 2/3 years. “My reaction when I found out? I knew something was up, but after what happened with Tottenham, when it was practically done, I did NOT want to focus on the transfer window. “My agent called me and told me that United was a concrete option and that they already had an agreement [with Sporting] and that everything depended on me. “For a few seconds, I didn't say anything because I was CRYING. “It was everything I'd ever dreamed of. I just said to my agent: 'I don't want to know anything else, just tell them I'm coming.’ [@StevenBartlett]

Spurs are in advanced talks with Mateus Fernandes as they rival Manchester United for the West Ham midfielder. Fernandes is one of Tottenham's top targets, as exclusively revealed. West Ham seeking £80m-£85m, around double what they paid to Southampton. An incoming £90m shareholder cash injection is likely to leave West Ham in a stronger negotiating position. Manchester United are also in talks with both Fernandes and West Ham. Spurs are also rivalling Manchester City for Sandro Tonali. And Spurs, Manchester United and Arsenal all have Alex Scott on their radar, who Bournemouth hope signs a new deal. Movement expected now in the next days/weeks on all fronts as clubs enter into the new financial year.⚒️
