It wouldn’t surprise me if Tottenham don’t get either Mateus Fernandes or Sandro Tonali. But you can’t ignore the fact they’re showing more urgency than Manchester United. Even when we finished 10th, we weren’t this slow at least we already knew who we were in for. @ManUtd, do something. Missing out on this lad could come back to bite us.

Spurs are in advanced talks with Mateus Fernandes as they rival Manchester United for the West Ham midfielder. Fernandes is one of Tottenham's top targets, as exclusively revealed. West Ham seeking £80m-£85m, around double what they paid to Southampton. An incoming £90m shareholder cash injection is likely to leave West Ham in a stronger negotiating position.
