A similar question keeps showing up in my X feed, so I’m curious to know the answer. High school level coach or higher. Have you ever missed a game due to YOU being sick? My answer is no. Over 300+ varsity football games over 30+ years. I’ve missed two (but not because I was sick). One for a funeral (grandma) one for wedding I was in (the best man from my wedding). What about you?

@BBGreatMoments I would pick Ricky Henderson for the bench of the AL. You need somebody that can fly running the bases. Pedro has to be there too. No old time player could have hit him. Regardless, NL is better.

@FrankLRizzo @BBGreatMoments I disagree with you, as you can only play the game the way you played it in your time, and he dominated… although if no one has ever done a redo of his games with similar technology, I’d love to see the results….

@BBGreatMoments Greg Maddux as the NL ace (or frankly on the roster at all) in an age of ABS is frankly absurd. He’s a 20 loss pitcher with a 5.x ERA in an era with ABS.

@BBGreatMoments Ran a computer baseball league on my Tandy 1000 with Earl Weaver Baseball 1.0 from 5-1/4" floppies. This is what our rosters looked like. Tons of data entry from the Baseball Encyclopedia and extra floppies for our "minor leagues". Great memories flood back whenever I see lists.
