Macaristan'da 16 yıllık Victor Orban iktidarı pazar günü yapılan seçimlerle sona erdi. Orban "otoriter popülizm" literatürüne adını altın harflerle kazıyan, otoriter popülizm dendiğinde ilk akla gelen isimlerden birisiydi. Kullandığı yöntemler birçok otoriter lider tarafından taklit edildi. Yargıyı ele geçirdi, medyayı kendisine bağladı. Konu otoriter popülizm olunca güzide memleketimiz Türkiye de Macaristan'ın hemen ardından anılan ikinci bir ülkeydi. Macar ulusu başındaki otoriter rejimden kurtulmayı başardı. Fakat Türkiye'deki siyasi elit bunu beceremedi. Peki Macaristan bize ne öğretebilir? Macarların Hürriyet Mücadelesi'ndeki bu başarısından biz kendi adımıza ne çıkarabiliriz? Benzeri şekilde @CLiuAnon’un şu risale boyutunda tartışmalar yaratan eseri de Türkçeye çevrilmeyi bekliyor. PMC’nin Batı’da solu nasıl ele geçirip de solun temel ilkelerine ihanet ettiğini gözler önüne süren bir kitap. Türkiye için de dersler taşıyor.
Çeviri niyetim ve dosyama rağmen, pel çok Avrupa ve Asya diline tercüme edilmiş sevgili Hocam Catherine için hâlâ bir yayınevi bulabilmiş değilim. Umarım bu çağrı ilgili yerlere ulaşabilir.

Rahmetli Altay Cengizer'in eşi, "Ötüken Neşriyat için çok emek vererek ve heyecanla hazırlıyordu kitabını. Çalışırken, beyin kanaması geçirdi. Cümlesini tamamlayamamış, öylece yarım kalmış." dedi.
Bu sözler ve Altay Bey'in kıymeti, o yarım kalan çalışmaya bakmaya kâfî. Yayınevimiz, elbette zamanı gelince, yarım kalan çalışmasını okura kazandırmanın mümkün olup olmadığına bakacak; acıları hafifleyince ailesiyle istişare edecektir.

Both of the sides of this argument are guilty of abusing the memory of the men and women of 1916, cherrypicking parts of the proclamation which suits their political agenda while ignoring the goals of the rising itself.
Neo-nationalists don't exude any of the politics enshrined within the proclamation outwith the social conservatism. They use the aesthetics of 1916 as a mask of convenience for what is clearly purely just an anti-immigration movement. They've never cared for liberating Ireland to it's full extent, and never will.
Liberals similarly cherrypick the parts of the rising and proclamation that suit them. While the proclamation was an extraordinarily forward thinking document for the time in which it was written, they wilfully ignore the fact that they would label the vast majority of the participants and leaders as reactionaries or fascists today. They also pledge no support to the liberation of Ireland in the modern context.

Stop peddling this revisionist bullshit. The rising was undertook by Irish Republicans, it was a broad alliance of patriots. Socialists, trade unionists, nationalists, catholics. It wasn't "pro migrant", and they would all be disgusted to see people like you invoking their memory
