The variation in women's clothes sizes across shops is insane and so bad for mental health. I'm mostly a size 10 but I've been trying on jeans in New Look and I would honestly need like a 14 for it to not be tight around the waist. There desperately needs to be standardisation.

A letter from King Charles I in 1642 to the newly promoted Bishop of Worcester ordering him to give up his canon's place at Christchurch Oxford and the rectory of Ewelme, because the King has someone else to take over as reader of divinity at Oxford (WCM D21).

I've had mixed emotions on NYE before, but never have I dreaded the new year like this. It's v difficult knowing that 2025 will more than likely be the year I lose my dad. I will try to focus on the positives, but it is a black cloud hanging over a year that hasn't even begun.
