Easter morning, Southside, Chicago, Illinois, April 1941. The only one of the five boys that’s identified is the tall, hatless teenager in the middle, named Spencer Lee Readus, Jr., who was 14 when the photo was taken. Spencer Lee went on to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II and build a career as a plaster foreman. According to his daughter, he remembered the day as, “I was going to the show on Easter Sunday and a white man approached me to ask if he could take a picture of me and these other boys.”

I know the chances of the victims seeing any of the money is slim to none after the creditors are paid. I agree with your statement, I still pray that they get something after all the heartache and pain he caused.

@BravoObsessed6 @of_housewives The people that pay for the items may be doing it to help all of those victims that he stole from and defrauded. He ruined a lot of lives and a lot of people depended on that money. The more stuff being auction off means the more money raised to give back to the victims.
