The Oscars’ response? AMPAS/Oscar CEO Bill Kramer apparently blocked me on Instagram last night after seeing my post expressing disappointment about the broadcast’s In Memoriam omission of my father. You truly can’t make this stuff up.

@destiny_thememe Tbf so many would know what a lightsaber is but it is also a sword lol. Also it’s more of like inner world will easily know outer rim doesn’t as much it’s sometimes like tales to them esp by the time the OG trilogy takes place. There is a lot to it lol

I dont know THAT much about SW, why are people in-universe calling a saber a laser sword? Is it bc most people havent seen enough jedi/siths to know what a lightsaber is? This looks really cool btw love the animation

@geoffkeighley This proves how annoying twitter is, everyone makes it about this or that completely taking away from this man’s father who was monumental to the movie industry especially when so many actors want to fight so hard to keeping movies in theaters.

So incredibly disappointed and heartbroken that the #Oscars and AMPAS chose not to include my father, David Keighley, and his immeasurable contributions to IMAX and cinema in the In Memoriam segment in the broadcast. I will never forget.

In 2018 I decided to finally go to my very first E3! I watched it growing up and was psyched, only issue being I had hardcore social anxiety & no friends, so I had to go to an 80k person event solo... I posted about it online and got a DM from someone named Camelworks

Today, we share the heartbreaking news that Mackenzie Rowles, known to many of you as “Camelworks”, has passed away. Together with his family and friends, we recently held a celebration of his life and gave him a final send-off, with his ashes being scattered across the Australian countryside. I cannot describe the heartache I felt when I was told the news. Mack was my good friend, one of the first people I ever met in the games industry and Bethesda/YouTube community, over 10 years ago. He was the kindest, most welcoming person you could ever have the privilege of knowing. He cared very deeply about those around him - always happy to have a conversation and help you with any problem you were facing, without question. And man, he was just the funniest guy. No matter how you were feeling, he could make you laugh and brighten your day. Camel’s family has asked for all of you to share your fondest memories of him and remember him for the incredible life he lived. He built an amazing community of over 800 thousand people across his YouTube channels, and we would love to hear how he touched your lives. Please also respect their privacy at this difficult time. Finally, I would like to show you this video of Mackenzie, which was made for his family and played at his celebration of life service. Many tears were shed when editing this video, and I hope it does his memory justice. Camel, I cannot help but cry when writing this, but rest in peace my brother. We are very saddened to learn of the passing of Camelworks. He did a lot to spread love of The Elder Scrolls and its lore throughout the community, and all of our interactions with him were extremely positive. Although I only had a few direct interactions with him, he without a question was willing to assist us with our own projects to the most of his ability. We wish the best for his friends and family.
