@threenotes_jp Lots of average Americans who aren't into anime fandom just see anime as stuff like Pokemon or One Piece. I'm more interested in stuff like Serial Experiments Lain and Steins;Gate, which is more obscure here (but not unheard of).
@OhayoMybrother American kids can't read or write cursive. I think they stopped teaching it i school about 20 years ago, which is shameful. How will they read old letters and documents?

I heard that up until my parents’ generation, students in Japan learned cursive in junior high school. I didn’t even know cursive was a thing. Do people in English-speaking countries actually use cursive in everyday life?
