I was never the smartest kid in the room. At the start of high school, I was in the bottom sets for most classes. I wasn’t naturally gifted and nothing ever came easy, but that lit a fire in me.
I didn’t want to stay where I started, so I pushed harder than anyone around me. By college I was one of the top performers, and by the time I graduated university, I was the top student in my course and department. I refused to settle and put in 10x more work than anyone around me.
That mindset carried into Web3. I started with nothing. No followers. No network. Just a belief that if I showed up every day and stayed consistent, opportunities would come.
So I started writing about NFTs, launched a Substack, interviewed some of the biggest names in the space, and had my writing published by outlets like CoinTelegraph and Decrypt. That meant everything to me. I built my audience post by post and grew to over 30,000 followers by showing up every single day and providing value.
That same mindset drives everything we do at Chimpers.
From day one, we said we’d build a brand that actually matters. A world built on story, creativity, and community. Not something built on hype or shortcuts, but something with real heart. The long term has always been our focus. It may have cost us in the short term at times, but we’ve always found a way forward.
I don’t believe in losing and I don’t accept it. I’ll adapt, rebuild, and do whatever it takes to grow and keep moving forward no matter what adversity we face. That’s how I’m mentally wired.
Even in the darkest moments, I’ll find the light. I’ve always been an eternal optimist and that belief in what’s possible has carried me through every chapter and still drives me now.
Where we were in 2022 compared to now is night and day. We’re in the strongest position we’ve ever been creatively, strategically, and as a brand, but the real momentum is only just beginning.
The people building Chimpers with me share that same hunger and drive. It’s not just a set of values. It’s who we are. It’s rooted in our family.
We will not be overlooked. We will win together.
Most importantly, Chimpers is going to become one of the many important Web3 IPs breaking into the mainstream.
This might all sound like a lot and I dont often write such long posts, but we’ve always been the underdog. And if you’re wondering how we’re still growing, this should tell you why.
