Is it just me, or has Mamardashvili actually been absolutely fine? I’d even go as far as saying he’s been one of the better summer signings. He’s come in as a second choice keeper and been thrown behind probably the worst Liverpool defence I’ve seen in years. Yeah, we’ve lost games and conceded with him in goal but that’s hardly all on him. He’s pulled off some really solid individual saves, and the people moaning about his footwork just feel like they’re reaching for something to complain about.

Not had a single performance this season that leaves you feeling like you can see where this 'project' is heading. Not one game where you think, 'yeah, if he gets a couple more players, I can see it'.

You know what, I don’t mind losing like this, as disappointing as it is, if they’d have put as much fight and commitment in through most of the season we’d be in a much better position
