I restored a 2024 Monero wallet today on a Samsung A56 using ONLY my local node. Same seed, same phone, same Wi-Fi. 🟢 @monerujowallet → ? 🟡 @cakewallet → ? 🔴 @stack_wallet → ? One wallet is in a completely different league. Wanna check the results? 🧶

Miracles DO happen! Duo release before a Stack Wallet release! Why? All were approved except SW because I forgot I left in a line in the release notes that said Android and Apple store got mad. Had to resubmit. Hopefully reviewed soon. In the meantime, have Duo! Release notes 👇

When it comes to privacy coins, I prefer Litecoin MWEB over Monero or Zcash for three reasons: Litecoin MWEB would require only a soft fork to switch commitments for quantum resistance. Zcash would need a complete code rewrite to become quantum resistant. Monero is vulnerable to quantum attacks. Litecoin MWEB clips excess data from the chain and syncs faster, making it more scalable and easier to use. Monero uses Bulletproofs, which are large and hard to scale. Zcash also has poor scalability. Litecoin MWEB is the only privacy solution with CEX liquidity and an approved US spot ETF. This means Litecoin can be bought and sold on all major exchanges and ATMs, and spent at most crypto merchants. Also, Litecoin MWEB's reputation is free from the "criminal's coin" narrative. TLDR: If you want private payments that keep the chain lean forever and just work without drama → Litecoin MWEB is objectively better today. It's pragmatic, fast, and doesn't require trusting fancy zk math. If you want mandatory privacy → Monero still rules (though it can't scale and is delisted almost everywhere). If you want less practical (less scalable) privacy → Zcash is the way to go (but be careful of the past "trust, don't verify" setup it had + the sketchy funding). $LTC $XMR $ZEC

Stack Wallet has got some bugs that need to be fixed when it comes to Litecoin MWEB. For instance, when you try to send your LTC from MWEB to a normal address (internally in Stack Wallet), your LTC will be in a void and it won't work. Currently Cake Wallet and Nexus Wallet are the best for Litecoin MWEB because both have got the 'coin-control' feature and tor connection. Still might be any bugs on the UI but that's it. They sync fast, though. Nexus Wallet, being a Litecoin-only wallet, also plans to add atomic swaps via @BasicSwapDEX. Litecoin MWEB plus coin control, tor connection, and atomic swaps is pretty good privacy IMO. Later on, Litecoin MWEB can be improved further with p2p network coinjoins and dandelion+. Keep in mind that these wallets are doing all stuff for Litecoin MWEB for practically for free, out of sheer will. Zashi has a bunch of VC funding behind it...

Duo is now finally updated. We had some issues with the Apple app store denying the release for silly reasons. Got it sorted after a time. You will notice Duo's release number has jumped quite a bit. We are just bringing it into line with Stack Wallet's number for simplicity.

Diagnosing bugs in Stack Wallet can be a bit difficult? Why? Because we don't collect any user data. And believe me, SOME user data would go a long way in finding bugs. But we take the hard road for the sake of our users. No data. It's toxic! Yuck! Don't give it to us!

@stack_wallet Another nice addition to the wallet would be Liquid/LN swaps/payments, like Aqua and Bull Bitcoin's wallets have. Sorry I'm not giving you any easy suggestions😂
