@rippedoffinYEG @stayfreealberta Alberta has tried negotiating and has gotten nowhere. So thers is no negotiating anymore unfortunately, this is why we are where we are. As far as the vote goes, of course I will accept it even if I don't like it.

@ted_someone @stayfreealberta If that’s your belief, so be it. I feel a lot can be accomplished with better negotiating, not bashing Ottawa with insults and sowing the seeds of discontent. If the majority vote is no, will you accept the outcome?

I’m seeing reports that signature collection is really picking up! Hearing that we’ve reached the statutory threshold has motivated even more Albertans to get out and sign — showing their strong support for a better, independent Alberta. If you’re tired of the status quo, now’s the time to sign and spread the word. Your signature counts! Just like your Albertan vote will count for the first time in Alberta’s history on October 19, 2026.

@rippedoffinYEG @stayfreealberta Fair enough. Why I think it is necessary is because the west in general has no say in the federal government. Election is done at the Manitoba border, senate seats are no better. Not about pipeline or equalization, just about being fair to a region that just wants to do it's best

@ted_someone @stayfreealberta A question that requires an answer. If the vote triggers a separation of Alberta from Canada, what happens next? The petition signers are hoping the referendum leads to a yes result, do they not? Instead of labels like “strength” and “prosperity”, tell us how it will happen.

@rippedoffinYEG @stayfreealberta What do you mean? You are signing a petition to get a question on the ballot. Nothing more, nothing less. You still get to choose how you want to vote come October. So what else is there to explain?

@ted_someone @stayfreealberta And after they do that you will explain to them in detail what they’re signing for? I mean, you wouldn’t sign a mortgage document or a purchase agreement for a vehicle without reading it first, would you?

Great day at the Peace Bridge area. Lots of signatures and some very bad swear words, but sticks and stones. I will never stop informing Albertans how much better we will be once we get a seat at the adults table. That's how I feel with our 6 senators, where as Ottawa has 24!

Was at Canadian Tire in Cochrane this afternoon. Saw a competing Canada flag and Alberta flag display. The Canada flags were $3.79 and the Alberta ones $14.99. Despite the price difference, half the Alberta flags were gone, while the Canadian flags were untouched 🤣

Really messes up some narratives to be an elder First Nations canvasser for @stayfreealberta. But here I am. Alberta First Nations must choose: White Paper 2.0 or Treaties Intact without the Indian Act. (Just one option they have of many) My Grandfather prophesied the China infiltration 60 years ago. He said beware, and here we are.

Holy shit, Carney and the Liberals have completely screwed up Canada. Their bullshit censorship bills and the clear shift toward more authoritarian, big-government control have a lot of people genuinely scared. While I've been out collecting signatures for #AlbertaIndependence, I've talked with many people who are hesitant to sign. Many have told me straight up they're worried the government will come after them just for putting their name on a petition. This is not the Canada I grew up in. And it's exactly why #AlbertaIndependence is gaining so much momentum.

@Nittynite Fear of signing is a problem, it is unfounded but still a problem. I am thankful we have the required signatures to trigger the referendum as of now. Personally I think the final tally of signatures will pale in comparison to the "yes" vote come October.
