The Muslim captain of the Indian hockey team misses a crucial penalty against Pakistan.
He is branded a “traitor,” with suspicion tied to his Muslim identity. His house is vandalized, “Gaddar” is written on its wall. He is forced to vacate the house with his crying mother, and a background song says, “Teeja tera rang tha main to” (Addressing to the flag : I was the third color of you, i.e., green, i.e., minority), “jiya tere dhang se main to” (I lived by the rules you laid for me), “tu hi tha maula, tu hi aan” (you were my God, my pride).
Chak De was a brilliantly executed, subtle Muslim victimhood propaganda. All this when it was a made-up story. Nothing like that happened. The story had inspiration, if any, from a Hindu coach. In a country where a Muslim actually becomes a captain like Azharuddin and is loved and admired by millions who never cared about his religion, players like Zaheer, Shami, Kaif, Siraj, etc., are idolized, you made a movie showing exactly the opposite, putting the audience into guilt.
I am writing this because I saw a tweet saying there was a time before 2014 when propaganda movies were not made. Lol! Nowadays, propaganda is obvious. Films don’t hide it. They present it openly. Obvious propaganda is easy to spot and dismiss. The more effective kind is the subtle one, wrapped in good cinema, strong emotions, and moral positioning. Films like Chak De!, Rang De Basanti, PK, and My Name Is Khan fall into that category.

Twitter is full of mostly disappointing, negative news. So here is an inspiring, heartwarming story of rising against the odds to bring back positivity:
Manoj Kumar Rajak was a regular govt job aspirant, so poor that he was struggling to repay just an ₹85,000 education loan. But Rajak didn’t give up. He kept trying and trying, finally cracked the code, became an electrical engineer in the Bihar govt, and thus began his journey of jan-seva.
By the time Bihar’s Economic Offences Wing caught him yesterday, he had amassed more than ₹100 crore in property, with a modest salary of ₹12 lakh a year.
He built properties across Bihar, Bengal, and Nepal, land, houses, warehouses, even a tea garden, mostly routed through benami holdings in family members’ names, like a petrol pump for his wife and a gas agency for his brother, along with real estate investments.
Despite being married, he overcame those restrictions and even managed to make a Nepali girlfriend, for whom he built a luxurious bungalow in Nepal and made other investments.
Manoj’s life is a shining example that with relentless dedication, hard work, and bold vision, no dream or goal is too big.

@theskindoctor13 Same in ujjain mahakaleshwar temple .Specially in bhasma aarti hours of waiting and then the temple administration behavior is so rude, even dogs are treated respectfully then general public and VIPs got special treatment.
English

Both videos are from Baba Baidyanath Dhaam, Deoghar. The first shows how common devotees are treated, and the second shows how VIPs are treated.
This is same in most of the famous temples. This difference must end. You can’t expect unity and brotherhood in a religion if the rich and powerful receive pampered treatment at temples while ordinary devotees are treated like an inconvenience.
I understand that the sheer number of devotees makes it difficult to give everyone ample time, but things can still be managed with dignity, through better crowd management, token or time-slot systems, clearly marked queues, and strict enforcement of the same rules for everyone. Whatever is decided for the common people, the same rules should apply to the rich and powerful as well.

On the auspicious first day of Navratri, the Ram Raksha Yantra is set to be installed today at the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The Ram Raksha Yantra has long been regarded as a symbol of divine protection, positive energy, and spiritual balance, and its installation further reinforces this sentiment. It represents a commitment to preserving faith and an enduring dedication to Sanatan traditions.
On this occasion, President Droupadi Murmu will also be present. Ayodhya today is not just a place of pilgrimage, but is steadily establishing itself as a global center of cultural consciousness and spiritual heritage.

@Creative_Unity No punishment in this case, of course.
However, in an entirely unrelated matter, she was later found, during a centralized investigation into the Vyapam scam, to have secured her MBBS admission thru fraudulent means, leading to her dismissal.
So, in a way, some poetic justice.
English

@theskindoctor13 And what punishment did Neha Verma get?
I think the answer is no punishment at all
English

An example from the past illustrating how UGC rules, if implemented, can be weaponised to settle personal vendettas:
Dr. Vaibhav Jain was a meritorious student at Indore Medical College in 2012. His MBBS classmate, Neha Verma, asked him to fill the medical entrance exam form again and sit behind her sister Pooja in the exam to tell her answers and help her pass. Vaibhav refused.
Neha got angry and retaliated by creating a fake Facebook profile in his name and uploading obscene content, then implicated him under the SC/ST Act, alleging he used casteist slurs. Vaibhav spent 50 days in jail and even took his second-year exams in handcuffs. Despite completing MBBS, the case blocked his chances of a govt job.
He fought a six-year legal battle before being acquitted. But imagine the trauma, embarrassment, struggle, and stigma he and his family endured for no fault of theirs.
UGC rules add an internal, low-threshold complaint route where allegations can trigger immediate academic or administrative action without rigorous scrutiny. Along with the SC/ST Act, this can be used to escalate pressure and settle scores faster.

@theskindoctor13 @ViratKoholic Worst part the girl who filed case was not even sochit vanchit as she could not prove in court her caste,
English

@theskindoctor13 If even part of this is true, it’s a tragic misuse of power.
No one should go through this, especially when they’ve done nothing wrong.

@BeingSalmanKhan Bhai, if you want to stop your legacy from slipping any further, ask Apoorva Lakhia to delete everything shot so far and pretend that this Galwan film never happened.

Haters will cite isolated crimes to downplay the dramatic improvement in law & order since 2017, but those who have lived in UP long enough know the difference. This land has risen from chaos to command. Where fear once ruled, order now stands like an empire.

Pradyut Bordoloi, described by the Assam BJP in the quoted tweet as “one of the most corrupt, manipulative power-brokers Assam has ever seen, who plundered the state mercilessly during his tenure,” has ironically joined the BJP.
From “anti-national corrupt,” he has now become “nationalist corrupt,” and hence all BJP supporters are requested to support him. Anyone not doing so will be considered a deep state agent.
BJP Assam Pradesh@BJP4Assam
Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Pradyut Bordoloi, one of the most corrupt, manipulative power-brokers Assam has ever seen, plundered the state mercilessly during his tenure. No wonder he now lives in his own Sheesh Mahal in Guwahati, built on the ruins of public trust and taxpayers’ money. And let’s be clear - he’s not the only one. There’s a whole gang of looters who treated Assam like their personal fiefdom.

A drive-through water source in Mirzapur, a first of its kind in the world.
With summers approaching and keeping riders’ thirst in mind, the Mirzapur PWD has left a hand pump right in the middle of a newly laid road. No need to carry water, search for it, or buy it at shops. Just pull over anytime, pump a few strokes, quench your thirst, and move on… all within a minute.
Now haters will ask, “What about accidents?” As if accidents don’t happen elsewhere. They happen on roads without hand pumps too. At least on this one, the victim can crawl to the pump and have a sip.
