@D1gitalTrap Literally just recency bias combined with a bias towards games with active support.
A game still having updates coming out does not make it better, it makes you think it is by keeping you in a state of "Ooh! New thing!"
English

i'm sorry tf2 fans and gw2 fans.... but you guys aren't in the same conversation as the other 3 🥀
TF2Hunt@tf2huntcom
English

@PalmyrPar Literally everything but MDs and, if they were actually real, psychological doctors. Those are the only two professions where route memorization of facts is important. Everything else is just learning how to produce outcomes through physical actions.
English

@Rhine2RioGrande Do Catholics not have fellowship after every Sunday service?
Do Catholics hear "go to church to find a spouse" and think it's someone walking up to you in the sanctuary, during the service, and asking you out?
English

@vaccumdream Ah, you see it's simple; visual novels aren't video games. They're illustrated ebooks, and watching someone else "play" them would be an illustrated audiobook.
English

I lowkey never really understood this argument cuz sure ur not a fortnite fan if u never played fortnite but like. Its perfectly reasonable to say ur a fan of a visual novel like ddlc after watching someone else play it fully

@Cthulhu_OwO here's the flow chart to help you understand better

@OVTweetmarck I swear, I'm not a liberal, I just get extremely high liberal scores on every single fun little online philosophy test I ever take.
They're all tricking me with wording or weird/vague contexts or something.

English

@JadeAtrophis @OVTweetmarck How'd you end up that much of an existentialist?
English

@BigDickBarclay Does it actually affect people that much?
Because being serious, pretty sure I'm not too stupid for subtext, I just don't think much about movies & such. But whenever I do, or get told about a piece of subtext, my first thought is "people allow THAT influence their decisions!?"
English

@tinytrtle It’s one of the most important weapons that our side has decided to ignore for long enough to where we’ve basically lost a war we didn’t even know we were fighting.
But that’s why I am an annoying stick in the mud
English

@BigDickBarclay I'm too stupid for subtext and the world would be a better place if everyone else was too.
English

@BigDickBarclay He wasn't doing it for the group, he was doing it for his friend.
In his final message to Earth he doesn't linger on how "Rocky's entire planet will die" he lingers on how Rocky faces a possibly slow death from a source that's unidentifiable to him.
English

@tinytrtle Cool. All in service of an outside group and not his own people.
English

@BigDickBarclay Ok but the whole point there is the character development.
He becomes braver throughout the movie (spacewalk to grab capsule, taking off helmet in tube, going outside of ship in planet's atmosphere), culminating in what he believes to be a certain death sacrifice for a friend.
English

The whole plot of the book/movie is that the protag is selfish and refuses to sacrifice himself for his people but HEY WAIT A MINUTE I made a new friend from an outside group and they are pretty smart and cool. Better sacrifice myself for them instead. JUST KIDDING the outsiders are SOOOOOOOOO smart and noble and cool they just live in paradise with no rock on rock violence and they will take care of me for being such a good boy.
English

@4minutes4peace @CaptainCons Says a guy actively scrolling and posting on Twitter.
Wasting time is a time honored tradition, and comes in many forms.
English

@CaptainCons Maybe instead of people wasting their time & money watching grown men play games. Everyone there should being doing something better?
English

This sport looks cool but instead of grabbing flags they should tackle the guy with the ball
Could be awesome
Henry McKenna@henrycmckenna
This highlight is a microcosm of why, for the Olympics, it will be complicated to pick between pro NFL players and pro flag football players
English

@lmchankins @milehighami You're looking at him relative to other NFL players.
NFL players are 1% of 1% types; 0.01%. ask anyone from the 99% to match Brady's arm strength, and they couldn't do it, and the 1% would have to ignore all other facets of the game.
English

name 1 sport thats not a genetic lottery.
R.@Rzj77_
Most talentless sport itw. A genetic lottery
English

@ReviewsPossum Good reflexes and heat resistance (the inside of those cars get HOT).
English

@Parker_Luck394 Ah yes, because as we know teenagers speak like their parents, that's why no new slang is ever invented.
English

It's almost as if he was raised by an elderly couple...

Spider-Dunk@spidermanias
Raimi fans will tell you it’s not weird that a New Yorker in the great year of 2002 is talking like it’s the 1950’s.
English

@ryanburge Wait, there's nothing between "somewhat" and "very"?
No "pretty"? No "fairly"? No "moderately"???
We're just jumping straight from people who'd skip church for a football game, to people who'd readily become martyrs without a single doubt if they had to.
English

@ChoochSkookum Basically starting in childhood (when habits are easily formed) people start either training their minds to overcome this feeling, or start eating to that 80% too many times a day. These habits then become extremely difficult to break in adulthood.
I'm people, and I did both.
English

@BigDickBarclay Non-movie reviewer chud here who liked it
Normal millennial writing problems, but they don't ruin it. I think there were even 1 or 2 serious moments it let sit without a joke
Definitely not a Gosling humiliation ritual, his character is (in millennial fashion) competent and heroic
English

Have any of the chud movie reviewers reported back about Project Hail Mary?
I’m hearing normie people say it’s good but I do not trust them.
I read the book and thought it was enjoyable Reddit self insert slop.
I’m kind of worried that it’s just another humiliation ritual for Ryan Gosling because all of us like him.
