@stratechery If google wants to flex their AI muscle and avoid all these issues, how about a version of Maps that I can have a conversation with when it's navigating me somewhere? "Be quiet until I get onto I5", "how much slower is the 405 bridge?", etc, all seem doable and issue free.

Is there a "React for backend"? Something like @dagster but preferably in TypeScript and focused on business logic.
Juggling databases, queues, caches, and external APIs feels like directly manipulating DOM before React came out.
Surely there's gotta be a better way…
