🧵As @UnionIncluded moves to bargain over pay + benefits, one pay injustice issue’s front of mind : unfair labor practice (ULP) charge filed bc @INCLUDEnyc illegally halted promotion process last Oct when we unionized. Several unit members were promised promotions for years(1/10)

Facilitating a panel on first contract wins and it feels so good to hear multiple member leaders tell the audience, "we *also* won a $60k salary floor at our nonprofit."

Today, we held the first bargaining session for our contract with @TPINNetwork. This is an exciting opportunity to renew our commitment to the movement and to each other. They say unions are dying, but today alone - @usrepresentedu1 ratified a 1st contract with $60k salary floors - I finalized a job description for a summer intern who will be working with me, FUNDED - A student from @wes_USE asked me to be their reference for a union job 🙏

Thank you to everyone that helped get us to this point, from those that helped with recognition last spring, to our shop stewards, @opeiu153, our lawyer @SethGoldstein13, @GraceCReckers, the whole bargaining unit, and management for making this a collaborative, productive process
