It’s only just occurred to me that Southampton are now just 6 points behind us with a game in hand, baring in mind that’s against Ipswich and not until game 45.
But still, 14 wins from 18 since we beat them in January.
If they keep going they’re in the fight for 2nd. 🫣

@DomShawEcho I think they are Dom, and even if they fall short, big chance they catch us, Millwall and Hull and we all drop to 4th, 5th and 6th!

Are Southampton now in top two mix? Would probably need to win last six but on current form it’s very possible. All felt very unlikely when players were being hammered by away end at full-time at the Riverside in January.

A strangely similar Boro story for both Kim Hellberg and Michael Carrick, both on and off the field. After this Carrick's side accrued 21 points, a 1.5ppg average. Hopefully Hellberg can finish up stronger than that, with 1 game less. Anything over 85 points will get you up.
