LoR's new monetization is just another kick while we're down. If they were going to solve the problems of low profits by jacking up the prices, why couldn't they keep pvp and make that monetization greedy?
I've spent $350 in 2 months on MTGA. I wish I could have spent that on LoR

I've gotten pretty entrenched in competitive Pokemon again lately and I'm curious if any LOR mutuals would be interested in joining a competitive draft league? It would all just be through Pokemon showdown so accessible to everyone and pretty relaxed overall. Hmu if interested!

I really should give my take on LoR's monetization issues, prolly wait until I am officially laid off at the end of March (not because I am worried about blowback -- especially since it's not terribly critical of Riot honestly) but it just makes more sense to me outside the org

"Going nowhere" is absolutely correct. the only community the game had was the PVP community. Path is played b/c it's forced upon people learning the game or gives more experience to get the cards you need. It's going to be exceptionally obvious in 6 months.

Here’s the update on LoR from the leadership team - it’s going nowhere! While some of us are headed to new places and the focus is changing, the core team that will be keeping LoR going are incredible, so the future is bright for our favorite CCG :).
