Today is International Women’s Day! For over 100 years, this day of activism has served as a celebration for each and every one of us committed to paving the way women’s equality. As an international community of women, we must stand together and empower one another.

We were devastated to hear about the shooting in Kansas City on February 14th This senseless act killed one and injured 20 others. We will always stand with those impacted by gun violence. Gun violence is preventable, and we must work to protect our communities and our children.

Two months ago, we heard from WAVE President Ali Monge on the critical importance of defending education. This work will continue in 2024 as we work to elect officials dedicated to supporting public education, and the safety and wellbeing of the students in their districts.

Last week, elections across the country showed the importance of the right to reproductive healthcare. These victories would not have been successful without the organizing power of incredible grassroots groups across the country. Now, it's up to us to continue this momentum.
