Grateful that the majority of the weekend has been lovely, but sad that we need to postpone the Grand Opening of the Koenig Pickleball Courts. Please join us on Tuesday, June 20th, from 6-8pm for the same fun and festivities!

Improvements can also be seen in players' blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and maximal oxygen uptake after playing an hour every other day for six weeks. Come join in on the fun with your neighbors while also getting healthier😀👍 See you at Koenig from 2-4pm this afternoon!

"Picklers" have grown 40% between 2019-21, partially due the low barrier of entry for players. This doesn't mean it's necessarily an easy task! Researchers have found that those playing Pickleball have a 14% higher heart rate on average than walking, burning 354 calories per hour

Learn the lingo: Dillball: incoming ball that has bounced once;Dink: soft arching shot hit a bounce inside the kitchen;Falafel: shot hit w/out power;Flapjack: shot that must bounce before being hit;Kitchen: the 7-foot no-volley zone near the net;Pickled: scoring 0points in a game

This wonderful addition to our community couldn't have been accomplished without the help of our aMaZiNg city workers! We're so lucky to have such a dedicated crew😊Swing by Koenig on Sunday 2-4pm to check out the new courts-everyone in attendance gets a chance to win prizes!!

We have the small shelter and a couple of canopies. Bring a chair, cooler, & snacks to take part in this “backyard” celebration of Reading’s newest feature!Each person will receive raffle tickets for prizes &a special Pickleball guest will be in there that you won’t want to miss!

Are you as excited about the new Koenig Park Pickleball Courts? Join us for the Grand Opening Sun Jun 11 from 2-4pm, One of the courts will be used for competitive play and the other will be reserved for novices. Come by to watch the action, take part, or pick up a rules sheet!
