Since when did stealing become OK? @ericdjav took ALL of our avatars and is now trying to sell something we spent time and money creating, as if it were his own! Now you know the kind of guy you’ve been helping grow on X 🤣

@BTCGandalf My guess is people were blocking advertisers and ad impressions were dropping off. So they need a way keep those impressions getting through still.. But, I still think there’s a place for a stronger mute. I.e. you can see my tweets, but you can’t follow, reply, or engage.

X changing the block feature so blocked accounts can still your content is stupid. If you want someone to still see your content but not when they engage you already have the ability to mute. The whole point of blocking is to stop crazy people from seeing your content so they can forget you exist and stop obsessing and harassing people.

Entering a competitive niche means you: - don't need a unique idea - don't have to validate - can launch quick - can find plenty of inspiration - can find competitors weak points It's the fastest and easiest way to launch a SaaS.

Since building a image caption generator on Pallyy last month it's had 64K visitors. Yesterday I acquired the site that ranks first in this niche, image-to-caption.io for $2K USD and redirected it to Pallyy's. Combined *should* see 8K+ visitors per day 😲

@Timb03 Fair point, it’s a dilemma.. suppose it depends on the complexity of the features and how well they map to broader user demand. But, you have good break out right now, so important to stay nimble and not get too bogged down.. you killing it, keep doing what you doing!

Since doing this post, I've had a potential client reach out about a $1k/mo deal. It's eerily similar. They need additional features, demos, and probably won't start for 4 months. At least this time I'm prepared! 🙏
Tim Bennetto@Timb03

Tried to land a big client (1.5k MRR). Did multiple meetings with the team, and lots of calls to. After 6 months of testing, they migrated to Pallyy! 🎉 Following month had a bug that affected JUST them. Took me ~7 days to fix, they quit after 6. 😭 Moral of the story: ...?

@Timb03 The competitive niche makes me nervous.. it’s hard to break in via paid search, and the incumbents already completely dominate organic search with huge domain rank.. takes years and there’s no guarantee you’ll break in…

Building a SaaS is easier than you think. The secret? Enter a competitive niche. Just create something that: - is easy to use - is affordable - looks good - is fast If you do that for enough time, you'll be successful.

@thomasschulzz @elonmusk Getting beyond a joke now.. We've lost half our customers due their API issues over the last 3 months.. And we pay for access.. We're at the point that we're going to need to pivot to other social networks now..

Elon (@elonmusk), this should be brought to your attention The Twitter API v2 endpoints break every day Here are the issues: - Apps constantly get detached from projects and thus revoke access to data - Users need to reauthorize applications - GET followers/following is broken And we're not getting any information back from @TwitterDev or @TwitterSupport on how to proceed Pretty troubling experience for $100 a month Please help us build on top of Twitter. We're making cool things!

@TwitterAPI @TwitterDev Are the v1.1 endpoints being turned off this week? There is no deprecation announcement, just mention that the v1 PLANS are being discontinued in favor of Free & Basic. Please provide some clarity..

@svetlanathon sorry, desperate outreach here. Do you know who we can reach out to in order to migrate our elevated POST access from old app to new app? We got broken in this week's tier upgrades.. Please any help appreciated. 🙏
Webcandy@webcandy_org

@TwitterAPI @TwitterDev We had to create a new app yesterday, but our old app (built in 2009) had elevated POST access. We filled in the support form. Can someone fix our POST access please? This is very urgent, our service is broken right now. (App: 26888958). Please Please Please

The potato paradox is a mathematical calculation that has a counter-intuitive result. "You have 100kg of potatoes, which are 99% water by weight. You let them dehydrate until they're 98% water. How much do they weigh now?" The surprising answer is 50kg buff.ly/2B5t3xS
