In the quiet village of Greymoor, children whispered about the Hungry Doll, a porcelain figure that came alive at night to feed on those who neglected it.
When Sophie received the doll from a distant aunt, she was both fascinated and uneasy. Its beauty was haunting, its eyes always watching. Soon, strange things began to happen, her other dolls moved, turning away from it, and at night, she heard scratching sounds.
One night, Sophie woke to find the Hungry Doll on her bed. Its mouth stretched open, revealing sharp teeth as it whispered, “I’m hungry.” Frozen in fear, she felt it drain her life away.
By morning, Sophie was found lifeless, the doll resting on her chest.
The villagers said nothing but they knew.
The Hungry Doll was still waiting.
