@markgoldbridge Speak for yourself please 😂
We know how to do it and we do it really well. The rest of y'all saw us succeeding with it and decided to copy it.

English

@markgoldbridge They tried to copy Arsenal and they forgot Arsenal actually knows how to play on the carpet and corners are just side hustles😭

English

@markgoldbridge What era of the PL would Newcastle ever have been able to beat Barca away?
English

@markgoldbridge Barcelona just put 7 past Newcastle and people still want to argue the Premier League is the best league in the world. Best league for WHAT exactly 😭
English

@markgoldbridge These teams are also exhausted from facing bigger challenges week-in week-out. There’s no easy games in the PL compared to the other leagues.
English

@markgoldbridge 6 english teams in the round of 16 and potentially 1 in the quarterfinals. the premier league spent years telling everyone it was the best league in the world and europe just said prove it. corners and long throws don't work when the other team actually knows how to play
English

@markgoldbridge @footRw_ I’m a Chelsea fan and as much as I want to blame corners cause it’s relating to Arsenal but let’s be honest, it’s far from it
Why not blame the real problem, FA.
FA not giving English teams enough time to rest and perform well in European competitions
English

@markgoldbridge Come on, you cannot use a game between the best team in Spain to the 10th in the premier league to rate the league 😁🤯
English

@markgoldbridge Arsenal has set the premier league back 20 years.
The refs have allowed it.
Everyone copied it and are getting fcked.
English

@markgoldbridge What a clown take, we've literally went head to head with a team with P14 W14 home record for majority of the tie, but quality ultimately shows.
Maybe if we were not gimped by artificial PSR rules we'd actually have won, most likely, yes.
English

@markgoldbridge Well thank arsenal for that. Setting a bad example
English

@markgoldbridge But the team who caused it won all their games in the CL?
English

@markgoldbridge All these PL Clubs are light years behind the likes of Bayern PSG Barca playing style
This is proper football
English

@markgoldbridge @builtforgreat Blaming corners and long throws for EPL teams collapsing in Europe is nonsense. Teams aren’t getting embarrassed because of set pieces, they’re getting exposed for poor game management, lack of control, and tactical issues against better organised sides.
English

@markgoldbridge @wayoemichael1 Blaming the losses on obsession with corners and long throws is absolute nonsense.
Neither @ChelseaFC nor @ManCity depends on those.
Find another narrative to hook this on. It’s all engagement baiting anyways
English

@markgoldbridge Can't include Arsenal in that. Every team that has actually tried to play football against us has been battered.
A. Madrid / 4-0
Inter Milan / 3-1
Leverkusen / 3-1 (should've been 6-1)
Bayern / 3-1
English

@markgoldbridge @danielswags Relax Mark. There's no way in any era that Newcastle would have dominated Barcelona. As for the terrible results of the other English sides. It could happen, there are no ultimate guarantees in football. There's no need to blow this whole thing out of proportion.
English

@markgoldbridge The funny thing is that all prem teams blame Arsenal for that. But now when they play each other or other teams that are not Arsenal, they still depend on the samethings they say they hate?? That is why they are losing games in Europe. @Arsenal scoring open play goals
English

@markgoldbridge The only team obsessed with corners is going through, what are you talking about 😂
English

The Premier League has fallen in love with chaos and started calling it quality.
Too many teams are building attacks like every match is a set-piece competition — corners, long throws, second balls, endless aerial duels — and then Europe exposes the difference. Because at the highest level, real football is still about control, structure, tempo, intelligence, and the ability to dominate with the ball, not just launch it into crowded boxes and hope something drops.
That is why so many English sides look powerful domestically and strangely limited in Europe.
In the league, physicality and noise can hide technical poverty for a while. In Europe, the game slows down just enough for the lack of ideas to become obvious. The obsession with chaos may win you moments, but it rarely wins you respect against teams that actually know how to play through pressure and think through matches.
English

@markgoldbridge Arsenal has ruined English football. What a shame 🤦♂️
English

@markgoldbridge But I thought this is what the premier league audience wanted free flowing attacking football but you get smacked up instead
English

@markgoldbridge The EPL will suffer for years cause of Arsenal's introduction to Haramball 😭
English

@markgoldbridge The champions league needs Manchester United back in it
English

@markgoldbridge A win is a win but tbh there is Too much focus on set-piece gimmicks
English

@markgoldbridge Next time let premier league send Manchester United to Champions League no matter the position we finish to save you from this embarrassment!
English

@markgoldbridge Bullshit take. City don't depend on corners and long throws but were still dismantled
English

@markgoldbridge ⛳ English football is becoming more robotic and boring to watch. People say Arsenal are boring, but honestly, most teams are the same now. Arsenal have just figured out how to win these defensive, “park the bus” games by making the most of set pieces.
