been talking about this for eons.
and it's not because i'm shrewd (verifiably one of the worst traders on this app)
in alts, there's literally just hype (maybe zec?) and largecap memes - ie those that reached attn/mcap/distribution escape velocity at some point
wif, fartcoin, useless, pepe, spx, etc
they're just honest, fully circulating vehicles to bet on liquidity conditions improving after a market reversal
it's that simple. no roadmap, promises, or inflation - and they're not new trench shitters that launched after bonding curves became a factory-lubricated extraction rape factory.

Since we started $BITCOIN in 2023, we’ve spent millions of dollars on the project
Over that time, we’ve sold ZERO $BITCOIN
We’ve used our own funds and ETH earned by LPing
If we weren’t on @ethereum , it would be impossible
SOL incentivizes devs to sell their token
ETH devs still sell, too. think of a famous ETH memecoin other than $BITCOIN: it’s devs DUMPED ON YOUR HEAD! I know because we’ve been tracking their wallets ever since they vampired us and our holders years ago. I’ve been disgusted watching them pump and dump their charts and turn their shilling on and off depending on their bag size
But not us…we created $BITCOIN because we were sick and tired of the rugs of the space. Fed up with seeing CEO’s dump their stock while your cousin buys on Robinhood
In the end, did it work? Mostly…without us, memecoins would never have taken off: 1) the “playbook” for running a memecoin was developed by us and used and improved by others, and 2) the liquidity that capitalized the memecoin movement came from the profits their devs made from selling $BITCOIN
On top of that, I’ve met hundreds of people whose lives were changed by $BITCOIN, and a dozen or so who became millionaires
But it’s still so sad to look at our chart. I know we’re higher than 99.99% of memecoins, but it makes me despair when I realize we are one of the only four ETH memecoins to have held an 8-figure market cap, as I had so much hope for not only us, but the other Lindy projects of this industry
I suppose it raises my spirits when I realize there were only going to be a few multicycle memecoins, and we are one of them. But I’ve always known that. I’ve always known that my entire life will be dedicated to $BITCOIN, to bringing value to the egregore and to help degens make it. I just didn’t know that most everyone else was here for something else

the side of being a dev people don't know about: $300 Dexscreener $160-200 Jupiter strict list $200-300 Moby Pro $1000 Coingecko $5k CMC priority token listing $3-5k avg, up to $10k/month for artists and content creators Running comms 7 days a week CEX listings Giving up sleep, time with family, etc If you are truly running a token properly, this is all just the small list of things you NEED to do for the token to survive, not even thrive. Advertising, market making, proper LP structure, all of the other behind the scenes things that you need to make a coin actually thrive aren't even mentioned. With no creator fees, the only way to get the money to pay for these things is by selling tokens. So, the question is: Would you rather a dev who is actively making you money by running the coin make fees off txs to pay for this along with paying themselves, not selling their coins in return? Or would you rather the dev be selling tokens to pay for all of this, hurting the chart? You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I’ve finally done it!
I’ve transitioned.
Not that kind (respect tho). The PFP kind. The soul-crushing, identity-reboot, “who even am I anymore” kind.
That sketch carried me through breakups, job losses, two bull runs, one brutal bear market, and approximately 4,872 nights of questioning every life choice. It was my digital security blanket—raw, unfiltered, slightly unhinged, just like our relationship was. She drew me with love, and for eight years I honored that by never changing it. Loyalty? Pathetic? You decide.
But today… today I leveled up. I yeeted the past into the blockchain void and welcomed my new God:
A Sproto Gremlin.
That’s right. I spent real ETH on a high-speed presidential wizard gremlin imbued with the egregore of harrypotterobamasonic10inu himself. He’s got the eyes of a creature who’s seen the inside of Area 51 AND the TG. He’s got the smirk of someone who knows the dip is coming but bought anyway. He’s me now. Gremlin-pilled. Chaos-maxxing. Eternally loyal to the cause.
So here I am. Freshly transitioned. New face, same existential dread, slightly more NFT bags. If you’ve been following the old me—the one who looked like a rejected Harry Potter fanfic OC—thank you for riding with that version. He appreciated it.
