Congrats to our Spartans and the Hometown Phoenix for winning the National Championship tournament in Michigan! Congrats to Kamya Feigl, Katie Casey, Jess Carry, Teagan Krzystof & Kasey Jackson. Nice summer season for the Hometown Phoenix!

Tournament awards went to Most Outstanding defense player to Thalia Jimenez, Most Outstanding Pitcher to Brooklynn Sedlak and Tournament MVP to Natalie Hajer.

Girls gutted out two victories today. 3-2 in extra innings and 4-1. We now play tomorrow in the winners bracket National championship at 11:30 ET.

The girls went 2-1 in pool play and earned the two seed. Got rained out tonight so decided to go have some fun.

Girls went 2-1 in pool play and earned the 1 seed heading into bracket play tomorrow afternoon. Semi final game at 3:30 and championship at 6:30. Come out and watch the girls play. It’s the last time we will play in Illinois for the summer.

Pool play starts today for the Glen Ellyn tournament. Games are at 3:30, 6:30 and 8pm at Ackerman sports complex.

First loss of the season in the semi finals to Genuine reign by the score of 2-1. Girls played their hearts out dealing with extreme heat and a four hour delay between games. Now we bounce back next weekend.

Won a hard fought battle in the quarterfinals by the score of 2-0. Good pitching and defense got us the win. Semi final game at 4:30.

Couldn’t be more proud of the girls today. After winning our first pool play yesterday 6-1 we came back to play two more pool play games today. In extreme heat we came back in the last innings of both games to earn a tie and win to win our pool. Bracket play tomorrow at 10:50.

We want to congratulate two of our players on being selected All-State. Londynn Sedlak, Shepard HS, was named second team. Natalie Hajer, Richards HS, was selected third team. Congrats girls and keep up the hard work.

Hard earned championship today. Won 2-1 against a really talented Elmhurst Cougars team and then won 6-3 against a hard nosed New Lenox power team. Looking forward to our next challenge next weekend in Bradley Bourbonnais.
