The problem with the CPC is that they lost control of the narrative as soon as Carney came into the equation. Poilievre was the right counter for Trudeau but is now the wrong one for Carney. In politics you have to pivot quickly, as evident by the brilliant move done by the LPC just over a year ago. With time, the economic results will reflect the policies of the new Carney majority whether it’s a weaker dollar or higher 10s. The CPC need to be ready to present someone as a credible alternative to Carney by putting politics aside and doing what’s right for the country.

The reality is if we quit fighting, the Liberals will rule for another 10 years. And by fighting, I mean simply voting which takes 45 minutes and maybe a little more effort to bring a couple of people with you to the polls. Don't get caught up in the demoralization, Carney has his majority and now he has nowhere to hide. Over the next year the economy is going to get much worse than it is right now and some of the elbows up cult members will have no choice but to wake up. Hang in there, this can be done.

No, what would actually happen is a mass depopulation of foreigners in Canada to American states in the short term, as most of these are Indian, Chinese and Filipino economic migrants serving labour to depress wages, keep housing afloat, and keep universities running, while siphoning Canadian wealth and sending it home. There would be boomer protests that go nowhere. Little to no violent resistance, and that which does occur would come form far right identitarians. The Canadian military has little to no capacity to defend Canada, has largely served as a welfare institution for decades, and the reserves exists to pump resumes. The group most likely to defend the country violently, that is young old stock Canadian men, have little incentive to defend a “post national state on stolen land” that hates them and openly, legally discriminates against them in both public and private sectors. Depending on the party in office, Canada would be a single territory, because shaking up the American electoral system would be a nightmare. If it’s the democrats, they’ll rush statehood for the whole territory as one state in order permanently entrench a one party state since the majority of Canadians vote left. The separatists in Alberta and Quebec would get rug pulled by promises of individual statehood, and have as few or less political rights as they do now. American corporations would then have the freedom to move in and wipe out the last Canadian corporations providing goods and services, or hostile takeovers and forced mergers and acquisitions. Job losses in the hundreds of thousands would occur, American health laws would worsen our food, U.S. telecoms would consolidate even more power to gouge. Then American “diversity” would start pouring in. African Americans, Hispanics, possibly even more Indians, blacks who don’t currently exist in Canada like Somalis, and places like Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal end up with Chicago, Detroit or L.A. levels of poverty and crime. As Latin cartels feud with Chinese triads, Hindus mobilize against Punjabi Sikh Khalistanis, every manner of ethnic and tribal rivalry from the old world escalating in Canadian communities. Then the next forever war starts. All old stock Canadian men of fighting age drafted into war for Israel, spurred on by the Ashkenazi lobby and Zionists. But hey, you’d get cheaper gas and groceries at Costco I guess.

Reminder: If Jagmeet Singh had pulled support for Trudeau when the NDP was polling ahead of the Liberals in 2024, Pierre Poilievre would be prime minister now and Jagmeet Singh would be leader of the opposition. There would be no Mark Carney, no "elbows up," and no dirty tricks to steal majority governments. But Singh didn't do that because it would have put his pension at risk.
