I think people's perspective on "EQ" is a little backward. All of that is "expensive" because of high demand. There is an abundance of people who, for one reason or another, lack self-control and self-knowledge, so they expect others to accommodate them. They think they're owed this, and they behaviorly demand it more than would a person with greater self-control and self-knowledge. A lot of people have just bought into the idea that letting them get away with it is somehow the right thing to do. They're basically spoiled children expecting to be satisfied at everyone else's expense.

the reason why emotional intelligence is extremely rare is simply cuz it is expensive. actually modeling another person’s internal state in real time is computationally brutal.. it requires suppressing your own frame, running a parallel simulation, & updating continuously. the “inference costs” of eq in humans are likely much higher than the most expensive ai model in existence today.

Ok now i want to see a "Smith and Wesson" Anime, that'd be a ton of fun. "American cops Deandre Smith and Anthony Wesson take part in an international police exchange program, and spend 6 months in Kamagasaki, Osaka..."

日本の友人たちへ For my friends in Japan🇯🇵: This is a common perspective on guns within America's gun culture. "How many guns should a normal person have?" - About five. "That sounds like a gun enthusiast to me." - No, a gun enthusiast has fifteen. "That sounds like someone obsessed with guns." - No people obsessed with guns have hundreds. "That sounds like a psycho." - No psychos seldom own guns, or just get one or two. "That sounds like a normal person though." - No, a normal person has about five, we already covered that ...

I will never not share this video. "Reasons Jim Cameron's Aliens is the best feminism movie ever made: -Leads men by positive example -Believable attributes -Acknowledges the importance of masculinity -Doesn't play the victim -Looks natural -Embraces motherhood -Appreciates a decent man -Doesn't lecture endlessly about moral superiority -Fights corruption and danger, not men" 10 reasons Jim Cameron's ALIENS is the best feminism movie ever made Rob... youtu.be/DYk_NTdEXFg?si… via @YouTube

You know that speech problem some have where they replace "v" with "b"? What if Darth Vader had an apprentice with that?

Texas is cutting undocumented immigrants off from school, work and driving. The sweeping rule changes, all enacted outside the typical legislative process, have upended life for noncitizens, including those who are here legally. texastribune.org/2026/04/02/tex…
