To be honest I don't like it when they give Knuckles a darker skin tone, I feel like it doesn't suit his design due to a lack of visual clarity.

i think it's funny how grayscaling art of knuckles with darker skin tones has become a litmus test
it's now required that you put your art next to a grayscale version of it to prove that it can work without the colors blending together 😂

I really like whenever Classic Eggman looks much more off-putting/scary than he does usually at times.
This off-puttingness is best achieved when his eyebrows aren't too visible (or completely absent for that matter) in my opinion.
