I don't really get Messi fans who actively want Ronaldo and Portugal to fail. Y'all say Portugal can't win the world cup with Ronaldo as the CF, but then you guys are also the ones pushing for him to be dropped. If he's really the reason they won't win, shouldn't you actually want him to start every game?

@ADEKOYAOFLAGOS @_Zeal13 bruno’s passes are connecting in the EPL because the strikers are positioning well. ronaldo is camping in the box 18 even when he’s clouded by defenders. he lacks positioning and too heavy to drop deep to help with the build up play.

You are not real at all........ I hate when you bring banter and hatred into analysis Again, Henry was speaking nonsense Pure nonsensical analysis Ronaldo was abysmal... The same game that Portugal lacked everything Wrong selection Bad transitional play Low chance created One shot on target But it's Ronaldo.... He should have done a dummy.... He knew Bruno was at his back right? Or you don't understand spontaneous movement Some of you don't watch football.... You just want to talk and pin blame on a particular player you don't like It's not the first, second or third time you will be doing it on my post Don't even come hide it with your wrong analysis And yes, I will say it again....Henry was speaking nonsensical analysis If you don't understand the game, look away and don't comment
OLUWATOBILOBA@boblaporta

One of my issues with you is your bias toward Ronaldo. First of all, in terms of analysis, Henry is currently in the top 3, and I'm afraid he is neither second nor third. The fact that his analysis doesn't align with Ronaldo today doesn't make him less. Henry is fond of criticising every player when they make wrong choices. Yes, Ronaldo had scored in that position multiple times in his career, but you need to consider so many factors; 1. He is 41. 2. The team need this win. 3. Bruno is in a better position than he was. I am not saying Ronaldo doesn't have the right to shoot from that position, but because he shot and didn't find the back of the net, we have to look for a better alternative, which was him leaving the ball for Bruno. There is no way you're blaming Consencio for that pass. Why do you think Bruno was angry at Ronaldo if Ronaldo was in a better position than him? In this game, Ronaldo had about three chances. Two out of those chances, he could have made a decoy for other players to shoot. Two truths can co-exist: Today, Ronaldo was abysmal, just like he has been for years, and the Portugal team was below average today. You can't keep discrediting pundits and fans because they are saying facts about Ronaldo. We saw him play against Nigeria as well. At what point would you come to the reality that Ronaldo is no longer that guy, and you should lower your expectations of him? Lastly, this is a team sport; he needs to play for the team because this isn't about him. He has made things about for years, and it has never worked for him at the international level. At what point would he think maybe he should take a back seat? Messi was subbed off yesterday, and he didn't make a scene, and it wasn't because of the hat-trick; it is because he has come to terms with playing for the team, and I think Ronaldo needs to learn that.

Gov. Seyi Makinde’s recent outburst accusing President Tinubu of "wasting time" on State Police and claiming Lagos boycotted Amotekun for political points is just a masterclass in deflection. When a Governor is grappling with rising insecurity in his own state, the instinct to scapegoat the center is predictable. Makinde claims Lagos ignored Amotekun to appease PBAT is entirely False with the President being the one of the voices that clamoured for a local security network to aid the federal efforts on Security. Makinde praises Amotekun as his glorious "stop-gap," yet the reality in Oyo is tragic underfunding. While Lagos mobilizes billions for the welfare and resources of all security apparatus in Lagos state, Oyo sends brave Amotekun operatives into forests with pump-action rifles to fight AK-47-wielding syndicates. Press conferences don’t buy ballistic vests. If Gov. Makinde cannot adequately finance, equip, and manage his own regional vigilante group, how does he plan to shoulder the colossal financial burden of a full-fledged State Police? State policing requires forensic labs, armories, pensions, and unassailable funding, not just loud rhetoric. President Tinubu understands that constitutional security reform requires meticulous legality and rigid economic frameworks, not rushed politics to distract from local failures. Before lecturing the architect of Nigeria’s most successful security funding model, Gov. Makinde owes the people of Oyo State a duty of care. Elevate Amotekun from a poorly funded political prop into a tactically superior force. Until then, the lectures remain hollow. Fix Oyo first!!!
Oyo Affairs@Oyoaffairs

"Amotekun was our stop-gap for State Police. Lagos didn't join because Tinubu didn't want Amotekun. FG should stop wasting our time and stop asking the IG of Police to establish State Police" - Governor Seyi Makinde tells President Bola Tinubu
