What President Trump posted was not blasphemy. As Christians, we are commanded in Scripture to lay hands on the sick and pray for their healing (Mark 16:18). When Trump shared that image and message, he wasn’t claiming to be Jesus or putting himself in the place of God. He was simply expressing that, as a follower of Jesus Christ, he believes in the power of prayer and the authority Christians have been given to lay hands on the sick. There’s a big difference between claiming to be Christ and claiming to follow Christ. Trump was doing the latter, openly identifying as a Christian who believes in the healing power of God.

@AlexDuncanTX Jesus taught tolerance, compassion and love. Seems like this is something the Pope is doing. Are you looking for a Jesus that condones war, targeting civilians, imprisoning families based on skin color and sexuality abusing children???

President Trump is correct about the Pope. He is calling on the Pope to be a great Pope, and not a politician. I agree with President Trump. We don’t look to the Pope for political decisions. The Pope has already expressed his dislike of Trump and a love for open borders.
