St. James Academy is headed to the Class 5A girls state championship game. The Thunder knocked off top-seeded Andover 61-44 in the state semifinals Friday at Charles Koch Arena to advance to Saturday’s title game. St. James had a balanced attack with four players in double figures. Elle Robinson led the way with 16 points, while Emerson Albright added 10, Stella Stacks finished with 11, and Teegan Vietti contributed 12. With the win, the Thunder move on to play for the 5A state championship. Jason Lamb of Sports in Kansas was at Koch Arena and caught up with head coach Justin Snell and junior Emerson Albright. We will hear from them later. #sportsinkansas
