Ndidi won just 3/11 duels, was unsuccessful in all dribbles, lost possession 16 times, made 2 fouls, and was dribbled past twice against Villa. Should we be concerned?

@StringerSport Maybe that’s a stretch because I don’t see Cooper as a quitter. But also as a Manager it must be very frustrating just waiting for signings and not being able to plan. I’ve watched City for over 50 years and I know a relegation team when I see it so will have to wait and see.

@StringerSport This all started with the summer of 2016 where we signed two strikers in Musa and Slimani and failed to strengthen further all round. Vichai’s passing has left a giant hole in terms of leadership, vision and business practice. Top has passion but ‘seems’ afraid to make changes

@AlanCapel My theory is possession now trumps everything in coaching at top level. It prob works for biggest clubs with most overall possession but equally better coached defenders counter. Liverpool for example yesterday seemed reluctant to shoot until in the box which was usually packed.

If I had the time and ability, I’d be looking into finding statistical evidence to back my anecdotal view that very long range goals have declined since the 70s and working out why. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk (do they still have those?)
