Being a Shia Muslim I feel that if the state can crack down on a Sunni religious party,banning it & jailing its workers, then why aren’t violent extremists from the Shia side held accountable the same way? Is it justice? Aren’t all citizens supposed to be equal under the law?

First, it wasn't in "support" of Iran, and I'm seriously questioning your claim of being Shia, as you clearly do not understand the relationship we have with the Wali e Faqih as a religious and spiritual leader, which is one one beyond borders. Even a Shia who doesn't have the same relationship cannot claim that this was in "support" of another state. Second, nobody's justifying it, but at least acknowledging the fact that this is not the first time a distressed and grieving group has carried out violence, neither in Pakistan nor the world makes it clear that it wasn't organized, but a heat of the moment event Third, these events HAVE NOTHING TO DO with "violent extremist Shias like extremist Sunni groups". How tf are you putting this one event with such a background equal to systemic and organized target killings, suicide bombings, and Takfiri rhetroic by Takfiri groups? Are you even Shia?
