So, next time you admire someone for being confident, recognize there’s a fire inside that person striving to be a better version of self - and also recognize you have that opportunity too.

These times don’t have to drag us down. Instead, these are incredible moments of self-reflection. Trust me, it will lead to personal and professional growth, fulfillment, and happiness.

People sometimes say to me, “You are always so confident.” And then I quickly think to myself, “If they only knew!!” #confidence

Showing up as your whole self allows you to gain a deeper understanding of your areas of strength, differentiation, & growth. Whether you're at the office, home, or out to dinner give yourself the green light to show up as your authentic self. Embrace your individuality & do YOU!

You’ll quickly discover the people who appreciate you for being you. You will also quickly discover environments at work and in your social life that embrace your authenticity. These are the people and the places that allow you to flourish as your whole self.

Being your true self in every situation can be scary. You might worry that people will see the real, flawed version of you, and that they won't accept you for who you are. But here's the truth: some people will - and - some people won't. And either way - it’s okay.

Recently at SIA Executive Forum was time well spent! Not only was I able to see people I haven't seen in over a year, I was able to meet some new #rockstars as well!

As Brené Brown says, "It takes courage to set boundaries." Setting strong boundaries and saying "no" will allow you to find the best path forward.  In a world of "yes" people, the word "no" stands out.

Or even worse, we say the ultra-trapping phrase “Yes, but…” Now we are really stuck because we gave in but pulled back at the same time. This is tough! With too many “yes” & “yes, buts” in our life, we end up in less-than-favorable situations & deals, & we spread ourselves thin.

During a really tough negotiation, I was recently reminded of what saying “yes” or “no” really means. Once you say “yes,” you’re trapped. “Yes” comes with #expectations. The expectations of understanding your “how.”
