Construction of New York City's iconic Brooklyn Bridge began in 1869. The bridge was designed by German immigrant John Augustus Roebling. He was aided by his wife, Emily Warren Roebling!

Khaju Bridge is a bridge in Isfahan, Iran, which has been described as the finest in the province. It was built by the Persian Safavid king, Shah Abbas II around 1650. The stunning bridge has 23 arches and is 133 metres long.
